Glamorous General Jewellery Gem Care Guide
Glamorous General Guide
For Jewellery pieces with natural gem stones, we highly recommend you to remove jewellery before showering. As some gem stones are sensitive to temperature changes, moisture and water, minor shrinking or expansion may cause the stones to come loose over time or cause internal cracks. Soap may also react or damage the gem stone lustre, causing it to look less sparkly and dull.
To clean jewellery pieces with gem stones, we recommend cleaning with a piece of soft cloth with no chemicals.
For 14K and 18K Solid Gold Jewellery pieces without gem stones (i.e.: metal only), you may wear them to shower or swim.
For gold plated jewellery and gold filled jewellery, we highly recommend you to remove your jewellery pieces before showering or swimming.
For leather goods, please keep it away from water.
For specific care instructions for metal, please refer to the Glamorous Metal Guide.
